My name is Rachael, and I am so blessed to be the mom of three little ones of my own. My love of labor and delivery really starts with them.

I had such an amazing doula (my mom as it turns out…) who was always able to see beyond my immediate pain and know exactly what I needed. A touch, a reminder to release the tension in my jaw, giving me a focal point, reminding me to breath in rhythm…my husband actually called it witchcraft. It really was almost magical how she was tuning my body to the birth experience. Her presence and ministrations got me far into labor with comfort, peace, and few interventions.

Because of her, I see birth as a cozy, comforting, exhilarating experience. I am eager to help other women feel the same!

A little about me…when I’m not obsessing over all things birth related, you can find me in my gardens, playing with or teaching my littles, or puttering around the kitchen. Walking alongside the Lord and having a hand in the beauty of nature, making my little nest of a home a sweet place to grow up in, and cooking non-boring things are a few of my passions.
